Marvelous... Magnificent...Many!! The M Family

Whenever I show up to a session where the family has 4 children, I always think, "wow! that's a big family - lots of kids". The ridiculous part is that I have 4 children!! We are this family and the other families that I photograph that are a total of 6! It's just always visually impressive to me!

Now, that being said, you would never know there are 4 children in this house - which is calm, serene and so beautiful. But it's not just the house - the parents have that same tranquil feeling. I could have just sat down and played all day - beautiful light, home, children, parents. You would never know this house holds two sets of gorgeous twins

Preparing for Happily Ever After

These two may be close to my heart because this is the son of one of my dearest friends and the sweetest girl he has chosen to share his life with, or because I watched him grow up (over-achiever in the growing UP part::!), or because they are choosing to start their lives together as a married couple early. I remember when I married my husband 22 years ago before my 21st birthday, there were probably a lot of skeptics sitting at our service (and a few people that actually gave us baby gifts for the baby that showed up nearly 4 years later::!) Well, D & A, I wish you as wonderful of a journey together as I've been fortunate to have. Can't wait to capture your wedding at the Spanish Monastery! It's going to be magical!!

i love this image - it's a keeper for my website - found this randomly as I was driving to their session and they were sweet enough to humor me - we got the cutest series using this sign in the window

i love how comfortable they look together here - congratulations, D & A! May life bless you with much happiness

Girly Girl....I can't wait to meet you!

I can't wait to meet this little one.....I'm already dreaming about how beautiful she is going to be and the images we are going to get to create! Just take a look at her mom and dad and you'll know what I'm talking about...

So excited to spend the year capturing this little one's arrival and all her changes and growing she'll do this first year. It's amazing to me that the excitement and newness of getting to spend this year with a family as they welcome a new life into the world and their families, just never seems to fade.

Boys Only!

This was a boys only session - what a great idea! Dad could see the writing on the wall - time was passing and if he didn't catch the moment and get images with his son, this time would be just a memory. We had a great morning together... and aren't these just the sweetest images?? (beware Dads, the moment your wives hears about this, they'll be thinking what a great idea!! hmmm......father's day is around the corner...)

Beauty

I loved getting to photograph this little one....some of my favorite images came from this newborn session

now look how's she's grown! this is her in the following post at 6 months! what a bathing beauty!!

now this is the life!

aren't they just the most magazine perfect family?? I love these three - you won't meet nicer people...

Early Bird...

This little guy couldn't wait to get here - so he came early! I got a surprise text from S saying that her water had broken 10 days before a planned C section, and Mr. K had arrived! He is boy #3 for this family - and is as cute as his brothers. Congratulations!! I can't wait to spend the next year capturing the special milestones of change this first year (they are part of the Bellies to Babies package - maternity, newborn, sitting at 6 months, and first year)

I love this! I know I'm always going on about bringing something personal and making the images a representation of what is unique about you and your family. Well (and this is too cool! how privileged I feel to get to meet all these interesting people), Dad is a Navy Seal, so this is for him! He brought these into the images and they are so cool - the first one has his Navy Seal pin!

oh to sleep like this......

Georgia on my mind......

I had such a blast with these two (and a half!!)! They were so much fun to photograph and so easy going. I love these shots - looks like we were out in the middle of nowhere, but really we were a few blocks from my studio in the middle of Miami! They just got back from visiting family in Georgia, and when we pulled up to photograph in this field, it was like they had never left those beautiful fields and open spaces

I love, love, love this image......

going in for the kill......

one of my favorites of the day... I love when my clients bring along something that's personal to them - we got a lot of really cool shots with J playing the sax! (thanks for playing for me and the tow truck guys that couldn't figure out what kind of craziness we were doing!!!)

Angelic Sweet Beauty!

I met this sweet girl and her mom yesterday afternoon - what a sport this young lady was - it was a little hot, sticky and itchy with the headband - but we just kept having ice-cream dream conversations and she was great! I love the sweet innocence of the First Communion portraits - and I know it must scare the dads a little when they see their little girls looking so beautiful in a white gown that makes you have a little window peek into what they may look like in the future on their wedding day. Just beautiful!

one of my favorites of the day.....
