Pure Sweetness

When this mom called and asked me to photograph the First Communion celebration, I was so bummed to find out I was booked for a wedding the same day (glad to be doing the wedding of one of the nicest couples, sad to miss capturing this special day for this family), so I was really excited when she asked me to do her portraits. I have to admit, I was even a bit "butterflies in the stomach" excited!! I've met this family before at the events of a family that I truly adore - and they are as sweet as can be. I'm not sure what it is they are doing, but both of these families have the most polite, sweet-natured girls I've had the privilege of being around - AND beautiful! How often do you find that combination?!

Soooo... needless to say, I was really excited! Then to find out we would get to photograph at a location that has so rich of a charm and history, I knew the combination would be incredible. For a photographer, this shoot was a little like a kid in a candy shop. What a fairy tale feeling these images have!

love, love this one! I always love getting a shot of the feet - can't you just tell she's graceful?

this is one of my favorite shots I think I've ever captured...

this one is for grandma....isn't this sweet?

My own daughters had a huge collection of dolls, dresses, accessories from the American Girl collection (we even had the horse!!) Now every little girl out there that sees this is going to be asking to have the same - when they had the dress made, they had a replica made for her American Girl doll - So cool!

Dreamy

Isn't this little one just dreamy? She has the biggest eyes and sweetest lips! I loved getting to spend the morning with her and her parents - they were so sweet. We got lucky with the weather - as we were leaving we had to make a mad dash for our cars as the sky opened up and it poured!

Looking forward to capturing this little one this year - I think she is only going to get more stunning.

I don't know what it is about this first one, but it is one of my favorites!

sweet baby boy...

I was a little nervous as I headed over in the morning to photograph this little guy - we missed our usual 10 day newborn window - the time where they sleep soundly, even if the world is falling down around them. But Mom was amazing!! She had gotten him up at 6 and kept him awake, fed him right before I got there and then cranked up the heat!! He was toast!! Which made for an amazing sessions and these beautiful images! (a good photo session really is a collaboration with everyone involved - and these parents were incredible!)

isn't he beautiful?? it's true - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree - His mom has the most incredible eyes!

isn't she beautiful??

sweet baby boy,continued...

Growing Life!

Don't hate her - she can't help it that she's one of those women that just grows even more beautiful when pregnant - and carries her "bump" like the only thing that is changing about her is the belly itself that is growing the most miraculous thing ever - a new little life! For those of you that can appreciate this - these images are almost "straight out of camera"!! Which really means, that she needs no help to look more stunning! I am so excited to follow along this year with their family, as they add boy #3 to their clan. (She is part of the belly to baby package offered) Congrats, G Family!

My Favorite two Boys EVER!!!

These are my favorite two boys in the world (except for my own Joe, of course!!) Nothing makes me smile like getting that look or giggle from Mr. Q - who has just turned 6 months! It makes my heart melt when I'm not paying attention - only to find Q looking over at me, trying to get me to make some silly smile or sound - or just pay full attention to him! And his older brother - well, forget it - he's had my heart for a while now! (and my daughter's!!) Aren't they truly just heart-melting, unbelievably adorable-handsome-sweet?!? (and because I can't end this without giving this shout out - GO CANES!! We do bleed orange and green in our house too!)

Just Magical!

What a privilege to get to photograph this magical and wonderful day! The rain on Sunday couldn't dampen the fun, excitement and love of this occassion. It is always so exciting to get to capture the story of this monumental day in a couple (and family's) lives - you can almost feel the electricity and energy in the air! I have gotten to know this family over the past couple of years and think they are really special - and I've had a blast getting to know Y and G - they are always up for anything and obviously have a lot of fun together.

Call me a sap, but I found myself with that lump in my throat and tears threatening to fall as they came down the aisle after the ceremony!! CONGRATULATIONS, Y and G - may you have many years of love and happiness and fun together!

lots of kissing, lots of love

Tango Time!

SO SWEET!!!

wow, wow, wow!!! This little muffin was GORGEOUS!!! We captured these images a few days ago when it was so cold - like, wondering-what-state-we-were-living in cold! We could barely get the blanket off and we would have to put it right back on!! We working fast to get these shots - even with the heat up! What a sweet family!

I'm designing their birth announcement and I'm so excited for them to see it!

New Year - New Life!

I can't think of a better way to bring in the New Year than to celebrate new life! I LOVED getting to work with this new mom-to-be - she was so willing to let us play and brought along great props - the hats are such a cool touch! I'm really excited to get to see this little one arrive and follow along on the journey of their first year. This couple is so easy-going, they are going to make great parents! Congratulations, guys, on such a special time in your lives. Happy New Year all!

this is one of my favorites - she is due in only 4 weeks! she's all belly and nothing else!
