Spring has Sprung!!!

I'm sure it's the spring, but this is the third newborn I've photographed this week - and all I can say is -- Hooray for Spring! I love photographing newborns and getting to capture the excitement of a new little one in a family. This little guy was the tiniest baby I have photographed and he and his parents were so sweet - and so willing to let me play! Thanks, S and C! (thanks to his grandparents as well - two of the most amazing people you will ever meet - and whom I am honored to call friends)

love the feet! this was mom's great idea - and definitely one for the scrapbook

A little sweet pea!

What a sweet little one this one month old is. This precious girl was so good-natured the entire time we were photographing - the only thing she didn't want to do was sleep! She was trying to hold up her head and seemed to be watching us quite intently. I think she was actually amused by all the movement going on around her - changing back-drops, stripping her out of her clothing, and trying ot rock her to sleep! She was a doll and I felt privileged to get to meet her and her mom.

Introducing the Newest Member of the J Family......

The hardest thing about this session was deciding what to put on my blog for the family's "sneak peek"! This family is so easy-going, and the new little guy and his big sister were no exception during this newborn session. I feel truly honored to be invited over to capture these first days. Thanks, J Family! (I would take A as a stowaway anyday!! She is a total doll and a ton of fun - she made a great assistant!)

This big sis' is going to be AMAZING!

This was the first time for the big sis' to hold her baby brother (who, if asked, will tell you the new baby's name is just that -- "baby brother"). She did great! By another couple of weeks she is going to be a real pro and mom's biggest helper!

Play Time!

A few days back (thanks, V, for waiting for your sneak peek as I finished up work!) I went out with a client/friend/amazing woman for a "play session"! Her son had just gotten his braces off and she was two days before getting her braces put on, so we had to seize the moment and get some photos of them without those metal pieces! We had a lot of fun ...... can you believe this spot looks like a Northern fall moment?!?

my favs

As we were leaving, having completely lost the light and the night having arrived, we spotted this funky little circle of light - provided by these big machines that were helping light up the park for Sony Ericson Tennis parking. We jumped out and were able to get a few dramatic shots using the two sets of light machines. I think this is one of my favorites and total spur of the moment!
