Holiday Season has Started!!

Last holiday season I met this wonderful family at my Photopia One Day Special Session and so I am thrilled to get to see them again this year and see how much the little one has changed. J barely said a word last year... this year you couldn't keep up with everything he had to say! I couldn't go to bed without posting a few of the images from our beach session Sunday evening.....enjoy! (isn't this mom stunning? and I love the bright colors she picks to wear) I loved getting to see you guys again!

Meet Mr. Serious (seriously!!)

I've known this little guy for a year now (actually before, because I watched mom's belly grow!) and he is the cutest little guy ever - but wow! he is Mr Serious! He wants to get it all figured and checked out and then he wants to tell you all about it! He truly has a lot to say and he'll go on with his hands flying. Maybe it's all those math equations he's had to listen to his first year, what do you think M? that would definitely make me look perplexed all the time!! (his mom is a math genius and has done her fair share of teaching practically my whole family how to get along in math - all the while sitting at her dining table with Cooper nearby! thank you, thank you, thank you!!!)

well, jumping up and down, sweating flying, making ridiculous noises.......this looks like a smile might have started to escape! (you know in a year all we'll get is smiles and giggles from this adorable little guy - he just needs to get the world figured out first!)

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S Girls!!

Meet "S" - she's the first of these gorgeous beauties! Doesn't she have a smile that makes you want to join in - whatever the fun may be!! I had the extreme privilege of getting to photograph her and her family last holiday season. We had a great time and it was one of those sessions I could have stayed playing until it was pitch dark. When I got the message that they would be moving, it was so sad to think Miami is losing such an amazing family - but thrilled to find out that I would get to photograph "S" and her friends for a "girls just wanna have fun" dress-up session. These girls were all as sweet and wonderful to shoot as sweet Miss "S", who I will miss getting to photograph.(pass the kleenex, pls!) As one of the girls declared to me, they are fashionistas!! Thanks, Young Fashionistas - you were a blast to work with!

Into the Wild ...(well, as much as you can get into the wild in Miami!)

I love these guys and they were great to brave the bugs in the wilds of Miami. I'm always telling my kids not to rush through dinner and to enjoy the time we have together, but I have to admit that tonight it was my turn to want to rush. I couldn't wait to get through dinner so I could sit down and post a few images from my outdoor session with this family from this afternoon. I can't wait to see what this little guy looks like in 6 months - I predict he'll be a heartbreaker!

I have to post a few more to say thanks for this sweet family braving the Miami "wild"!!! Are you catching the smile on this little guy? He's pretty loved, so he really does have a lot to smile about, but I've never seen an infant smile as much as he does. (i continue to insist it isn't gas.....)

Introducing J -- Such Sweetness!

I always feel so lucky when I'm invited in to capture the first newborn images. This little guy is so beautiful and so calm. He just seemed to really be taking it all in really. Take a look below at the family image and you'll see this kid has it made in the looks department! Get to know his family and you know he's probably got it made in the personality department as well! Thanks, guys, for letting us come over yesterday morning - congratulations on such a wonderful miracle of life.

Weighing In.....Just Gorgeous!!

This sleeping beauty gave mom and dad a little bit of a scare and just got out of the hospital after a week and a half......but I bet they would agree he was well worth the extra stress. He is just GORGEOUS!!! This might be one of the first times I wanted to hold a baby as much as I wanted to photograph him! He is really so sweet and his parents are so relaxed and calm. I couldn't go to bed before posting a few photos from our session this afternoon. Congratulations, M and C! I can't wait to photograph the different stages of his life this year.

I LOVE their red wall!! Makes me want to paint a wall red in my own home! (and thanks, K, for taking everything down TWICE!!! once you've seen these images, it makes it totally worth it, right?!)

here is the sweet big sis' - I love the belly to belly action! She even has to stand on tiptoe to touch! I had to include the image of her coloring so sweetly in the tutu I brought for dress up - she really is a princess at heart.......
