bring on the boys!!

I have been so blessed lately to get to photograph these amazing families - getting to be around people that are just so kind and wonderful. Add this sweet family to the list of "it makes me a nicer person just to stand next to them". (you know - those people that just radiate goodness??) J was a mentor my provisional year in the Junior League and I love getting to capture these sweet moments as she is around the corner from bringing her second little boy to the world. Can't wait to meet him! (he's in luck - his big brother follows mom in the nice department)

where do I even begin?? when C booked me to photograph her maternity, little did I know that this would turn out to be two of my favorite sessions.......I could have blogged this entire session and their maternity. Mom's gorgeous, Dad's gorgeous...so I'm totally not surprised that this little guy is BEAUTIFUL!!!!





I love his room - the whole house has this really cool look to it - and the best part is that M's parents did most of the work themselves!!

this might just be one of my favorite shots I've ever taken....but I loved this whole session. Can't wait to spend the next year seeing Mr. M grow up!!

city walk - feels a little like being back in NYC!

I love these next images - they feel like images I've taken in NYC. I don't know if it's the grey or the city look - never mind we were battling 90 degree heat and wind that was whipping from that Bermuda storm off the shores) Maybe it's because I love this family so much - I don't know - but I'm in love with these images!

Cutie Patootie!!

What a small world - this mom and I have been trying to set up a session for the entire summer - we finally got it set and when I got to the front door of this family's home you can only imagine my surprise - we had sat next to each other and spent an evening chatting at a gala last spring when she was almost 9 months pregnant with this little cutie!! I'm so thrilled that I get to spend the next year photographing this family!! (I've modified a Bellies to Babies package for them)

Just love to see how in love these parents are (the grandparents are obviously quite smitten as well!!)

Worth the Trip (I hope!)

There was a little pressure to make sure this session turned out awesome! J and R traveled down from Washington DC to have their engagement session with me - they both have pretty busy schedules and they flew in for just 48 hours! I picked a location that we wouldn't have to worry about rain or weather (stress enough to worry about Miami's erratic weather these days). SO excited I went to meet them - they've been together for 10 years and have the most romantic proposal story. On the Monday before the session, R had to be taken for a surprise emergency appendectomy!! Can you believe they actually flew down 5 days later?!?! He was a total trouper - no complaining, a little stiff - but I also definitely didn't have him hoist J up onto any ledges!! (we actually didn't sit much at all - you could see the wince when poor R had to get up and down!!)

Thank you rain for not making an appearance on this afternoon! Miami can be tricky with the weather and we had one last day to make this shoot happen before Grandma went back home. The afternoons have been so unpredictable - but we got so lucky! I had a great time hanging out with this family.... and the kids - melted my heart!! Each one of them had something so sweet in their personality - and what is it about when someone little puts their hand in yours and wants to walk holding your hand - is that the mother heart in me? It just totally melts my heart!!

mom love - there's nothing better

whenever I say I have 4 kids, I always get that "are you kidding?! 4?? really?!" - I always think it isn't THAT many!! But then I'll meet another mom of 4 (or more) and think - wow!! that's a pretty big group!! These 4 kids were awesome! They were so easy and I felt like I was just hanging out with them in the park - but had brought along my camera. And how sweet is this - there's nothing more wonderful than mom love! I love these images of her with her kids - just beautiful!

heaven on earth working with this family

This morning session was just amazing - the light, the love this family shares. I've been working with so many amazing families lately - and parents that are just wonderful to work with. This family in particular holds a special place in my heart - the super mom in this family babysat my older kids when she was in high school! I knew then she would make an amazing mom, but seeing this family together and how much love and tenderness they have for each other just tugs on my heartstrings big time!! Truly love you guys!! THIS WAS AMAZING!!!! (get a big bat by the front door now, J!! These girls are gorgeous!!!)

as soon as she saw the wings, she wanted to wear them! we waited until the end and she was thrilled to get to put them on! She was waiting patiently as I had to grab something from my bag and when I turned, this was what I saw - I wouldn't mind an angel this sweet looking over me.....

Meet J and J

This engagement session was an absolute blast and I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning at the thought of getting to photograph their wedding in April!! They are so cute together - and anytime I would look away or adjust my camera and look up - I would see the groom to be sneaking adoring glances or sweet kisses! He is IN LOVE!!! They were so easy to work with - and bringing along their personal assistant/stylist worked out great!! He was a blast to work with as well:}!!
