Lakeside Senior Session

I have to admit that when I found out we were going to get to do this session in the boathouse, I was beyond excited! Love getting to photograph in places that are so personal to the senior I'm photographing for - and a boathouse with fantastic light, baby blues that might remind you of Paul Newman (does that age me??!), and an incredibly supportive family - this session was sure to be amazing! Had so much fun with H and his family. Congratulations on your senior year!

 

Having his cake and eating it too! Double D-light!

I loved everything about this session! Starting off with the picking up leaves and throwing them to eating cake with your brother! It doesn't get any better in childhood than this! This is possibly the cutest family ever - and I've been so blessed to get to follow them along this last few years. But the part that totally melted my heart was when I got to walk in the parking lot with the big brother talking like old souls and hearing about all the wonder in the world - and then he grabbed my hand and I was reminded of how incredibly wonderful life is and how it is most enjoyed in the most simple of moments. Thank you, J Family, what a gift it has been getting to follow along on this journey!

 

Beautiful girl, the world belongs to you!

Can't even begin to describe how lucky I feel getting to be a part of documenting these once in a lifetime moments. Going off to college is such a huge transition in your life, so getting to be a part of photographing this beautiful senior girl just makes me feel hopeful, beyond thrilled for her and the world she is about to go into. She's one of those beauties that radiates from the inside out - making you feel that you are standing next to pure goodness when she's around. The bonus here was getting to spend time with her AND her mom - and this one - well, I almost teared up watching the two of them together and seeing how much love there is shared between the two of them.  Love these two! Can't wait to see how this girl changes the world!

So One-derful!

What a sweet little one!  I loved this session especially because we had the grandparents along - and that always makes it that much more meaningful! Love the getting to read to her, play with her... and all the little side photos of the grandparents. Someone is VERY loved by a lot of people! What great memories for her as she grows up to have these images with not only her parents but her grandparents!
