Totally had a blast with this family !!  I'm sure he got tired of me saying it -- but seriously, he has the BEST hair!!  Loved getting to photograph this family -- they were so much fun

Mr Sleepyhead

This is what they mean when they say "sleeps like a baby"!!  This little guy was UNBELIEVABLE!!  We were concerned, because he's a little older than the 10-14 day old newborn -- but WOW!  he was great!!   He slept the entire time -- and we moved him around!!  He was fabulous  -- and absolutely gorgeous!!

This is for you, L!!  love that mom requested this shot -- she wanted just a normal "catch him in the moment" shot with his little pajamas on -- his "regular clothes"!  sometimes it's the simple moments in your new little one's life that take your breath away and make you feel so grateful they have arrived!

Mr. Mini

Oh he's SO HANDSOME!!  I was in love with his hair and those huge black eyes!!  But so strange to see him at 6 months he looks identical to his dad!!  It was like a mini version!  What a charmer this little guy is!

cutest thing ever...... we were blowing bubbles, but as they came towards him, he would close his eyes as if he was going to get hit by them!!  

Life's like a circus with two little boys!

We don't do a ton of these cute themed sessions, but loved that we did this!!  It was so much fun and I was trying so hard not to giggle so much at this little guy with his mustache and his reactions -- I'm surprised the images are sharp!!  These two little boys will have so much fun growing up together!!  How cute are they??

I think this image captures how most every little kid feels when a new baby arrives..... not quite sure what's around the corner!

Mr Blue Eyes

When I met J and her husband a year and a half ago, I was truly amazed by how beautiful she was (and them together) -- I really couldn't believe that this incredible woman was so unaware of her own beauty.  I remember thinking, wow! they are going to have the most beautiful children.  We were so lucky, because their little guy arrived within a week of this shoot!  He was an adorable little guy. BUT when I arrived for our last shoot, I couldn't even believe how gorgeous her little guy is! LOOK AT THESE BLUE EYES!!!  I made J look at the back of the camera, because I was afraid if she didn't see it completely natural, she would think I had photoshopped his eyes to look even more blue!!  CRAZY!!!  He's GORGEOUS!

Completely untouched -- they are unreal!!

No rain date needed!!

When we showed up to meet it was black skies and I thought for sure we were going to get rained out -- so we worked backwards from my norm, starting at the beach.  I can't say enough about how much fun I had with these two!!  They were so awesome -- and there were SOOOO many people that we had to contend with!!  You guys were great and I love how much these reflect how happy you make each other!!

Welcome Little Man!

Have you ever seen such a handsome little guy??  He looked like a little man - in a newborn body!!  He was SO well behaved and slept and hung out -- peeked out every once in awhile.  HE'S GORGEOUS!!  and that's saying a lot...... take a look below at his fabulously stunning big brother!!  I was really feeling sorry for this guy when he was in the womb -- I kept thinking there was no way anyone would be as cute as his big brother and wow! wouldn't that be a self esteem buster!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms I've had the privilege of getting to know and photograph over these past 5 years.... I am so inspired by so many of these incredible women and feel so grateful for their part in my life - wether brief or  long lasting

A mother is someone to shelter and guide us,
To love us, whatever we do,
With a warm understanding and infinite patience,
And wonderful gentleness, too.

How often a mother means swift reassurance
In soothing our small, childish fears,
How tenderly mothers watch over their children
And treasure them all through the years!

The heart of a mother is full of forgiveness
For any mistake, big or small,
And generous always in helping her family
Whose needs she has placed above all.

A mother can utter a word of compassion
And make all our cares fall away,
She can brighten a home with the sound of her laughter
And make life delightful and okay.

A mother possesses incredible wisdom
And wonderful insight and skill -
In each human heart is that one special corner
Which only a mother can fill!

 

the cutest couple....

could these two be any cuter?  loved getting to meet them and am even more excited to get to photograph their wedding.  This was a last minute dash as they flew in for a short visit to get everything set in motion before their move from one coast of the US to the other.  They were ADORABLE... and total goofballs!!  If laughter is the best medicine and helps to keep a marriage together, these two will be married and healthy for their entire lives!!  Loved loved getting to meet them and mom!  Congrats!!  Good luck on the move!
