Ninety Years Young!

I recently had the privilege of getting to meet one of the most gracious and sweet families. Everyone had come from all over the world (as far as Shanghai!) to celebrate the 90th birthday of this amazing woman, mom, grandma. There are some people you meet that have that twinkle in their eye that says they are just enjoying the trip - this sweet lady is one of them. I think you can even see it in her photo!

I love what I get to do - meeting people and getting a moment to glimpse at their lives, the way the interact with each other, getting to exchange stories and share a moment of our lives together capturing images that I hope will be with them for many years to come. Getting to do that with generations that have come together is even more special - this may be that image that sits on the mantle for years - perhaps being the only time in years that everyone will be in the same room at the same time. I cherish those images from my own family - like the photo of me and my great grandparents in front of their home - where I insisted on wearing the goofy red cowboy boots with my jeans tucked IN!!! lol! Everytime I look at the image, it isn't just three people standing in front of a camera - it brings to mind the time we spent together and keeps that memory alive and fresh. So when I say thank you for letting me capture the images of such a special occasion - I truly mean to say thank you for letting me capture a moment that I hope your family will cherish for years to come! (oops, I think the nostalgic side of me came out on this one!!!)

Mommy Magic!

What a magical time being pregnant is! This is M's first baby, but she and her husband are so calm, you would never know it. I'm really excited to get to meet this little one and get to capture those first images. Congratulations, guys! You're going to make great parents.

Easy, Breezy!!

This family was fantastic!! At first, I was thinking we were just going to melt or be eaten alive by mosquitoes!! These kids were so awesome and we had so much fun - that I didn't even notice the heat or the bugs!! Couldn't you just eat them up, they're so cute?!? I'm really excited to meet their dad and get another chance to do a mini-session with these guys!

Father's Day at Tula & Tupi!!

It's true - dreams do come true at Tula & Tupi - ballet classes on Saturday mornings, tutu workshops, and great shopping - just to name a few of the fun things going on there! It was fun getting to do our mini photo shoot to say Happy Father's Day to all the amazing clients at Tula & Tupi. Hope everyone had a wonderful day with their dads - enjoy a few of our favs!

America's Next Top Model!

Oh so yummy!! This little girl is on her way to the top! She and her sister were so easy to work with - like pros! They were so easy-going - but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because their mom was so great as well. I only wish we had more time together - these are two I could have photographed all day!

One Glam Fam!!

I love getting to photograph big families - there is something so sweet about capturing multi-generations together! This family was sweet and really great about working around Mother Nature! (She's been tough lately!) These kids were awesome - and nothing like getting to photograph gorgeous girls (and one handsome little lego dude!! thanks for showing me the collection - I've made sure to post that Master Lego Builder!!)

Golden Boy - Soccer Style!

I loved getting to photograph this family - the teenage years are my favorite (I have my own 3 at home!!) - but it was really fun because neither of us had realized that we knew each other!! Our kids were in 3rd grade together and we hadn't made the connection until we got out of our cars for our shoot!! This was a fun time - and boy, did someone's eyes light up when we pulled out the soccer ball!

The W Family

Last Sunday I arrived at the W Family's home just in time for the rains to start! It rained during their whole session! They were awesome though and we had a great time - they were super easy to work with and one of the nicest families I've met. I'm hoping I'll get to see them through the years and capture their family as the kids grow up!

The Boys!

Aren't these guys just yummy?!? Look at the lashes on these two! Both of these guys were awesome and at the end of our session, with the sun having come out (Murphy's law - doesn't it figure the rest of the day was sunny and beautiful??!) we had a race. Look for at least one of these guys to be a famous track star!! I thought I was going to DIE!! Man, could they both run fast!!!
